3.1<\/strong> Printing and Artwork<\/strong><\/p>\n 3.1.1<\/strong> CMYK and \u2018Spot\u2019 Colours<\/p>\n Artwork must be supplied to us in a press-ready PDF (font embedded) format, in CMYK format with a minimum 300dpi resolution.<\/p>\n We cannot take responsibility for colour reproduction of RGB files, or files supplied outside of the specifications given.<\/p>\n Any \u2018spot\u2019 colours will be converted to CMYK as standard.<\/p>\n If a specific \u2018spot\u2019 colour is required, this must be specified at the time of ordering and will attract an additional fee, we will quote specifically for spot colour jobs.<\/p>\n 3.1.2<\/strong> Colour Variations<\/p>\n We print to standard ink densities in a \u2018ganged up\u2019 format as standard, and variations in printing can exist.<\/p>\n We will not be held responsible for any variations in colour, either from previous products supplied by us or from work provided from a third party.<\/p>\n Variations may also exist due to the nature of the paper or lamination chosen.<\/p>\n Uncoated stocks have an inherent limitation in performance as increased dot gain may make the image slightly darker, the paper does not retain the ink to the same degree as a coated stock, heavy ink may take an increased period to dry and some amount of setting-off may occur between pages during finishing and after completion of the finished product.<\/p>\n We will work to minimize these issues, but we cannot guarantee the performance of these papers if we provide reasonable care in producing the final product.<\/p>\n If a colour match is required for consistency with other products, a printed sample\u00a0MUST<\/strong>\u00a0be supplied to us, as we do not hold samples of previous work.<\/p>\n If you need to colour match more than one job, for each job you will need to send separate colour match samples.<\/p>\n 3.1.3<\/strong> Proofs<\/p>\n We will print your artwork as you supply it.<\/p>\n We do not proof read artwork, nor do we check artwork for date validity or expiration.<\/p>\n Soft copy proofs will be emailed to you, with the exception of business cards, we do not supply any proofs for business cards.<\/p>\n Please view all proofs carefully.<\/p>\n We will not be held liable for any mistakes in artwork, once the proof has been approved.<\/p>\n We do not accept responsibility for incorrectly supplied email addresses, which may result in a delay in soft copy proofs being sent to you.<\/p>\n 3.1.4<\/strong> Bleed<\/p>\n There should be a 3mm bleed around the finished artwork.<\/p>\n We will not be held liable for errors generated due to insufficient bleed.<\/p>\n 3.1.5<\/strong> Alignment<\/p>\n In order to finish and\/or align your job professionally, we may need to trim jobs during the finishing process.<\/p>\n We will proceed with a trim if the finished job dimension is altered by less than 1%.<\/p>\n If the finished job needs to be altered by more than 1%, we will contact you for approval to proceed.<\/p>\n 3.1.6<\/strong> Business Cards<\/p>\n We do not supply proofs for business cards as stated in 3.1.3 above, and supplied artwork will proceed to print.<\/p>\n Our business cards are sized to 85mm x 55mm as standard.<\/p>\n All artwork for business cards will be scaled to this size.<\/p>\n If a non-standard size is required, please email hello@belfastprintonline.com<\/a>\u00a0where an additional fee may be applied to your order.<\/p>\n 3.1.7<\/strong> Folds<\/p>\n When paper and card is folded, there can be a small amount of \u2018cracking\u2019 along the spine and it might be less noticeable on lighter stocks.<\/p>\n \u2018Cracking\u2019\u00a0 is normal for folded paper, card and Spot UV jobs.<\/p>\n If the job requires that a solid colour be printed along the fold, the impact of the cracking can be amplified.<\/p>\n We recommend that, in the case of solid folded colours, a lamination should be used.<\/p>\n We are not liable for \u2018cracking\u2019, particularly if the paper and card is not laminated.<\/p>\n 3.1.8<\/strong> Booklets<\/p>\n Booklets should be supplied in a PDF as single pages.<\/p>\n They should\u00a0NOT<\/strong>\u00a0be created as spreads with registrations marks.<\/p>\n 3.1.9<\/strong> Design Flaws<\/p>\n If there are inherent design flaws, we will\u00a0NOT<\/strong>\u00a0be held liable for the resultant flawed product.<\/p>\n Our standard prices reflect our production performance\u00a0ONLY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We do\u00a0NOT<\/strong>\u00a0provide design review as standard, nor estimates, not guarantees.<\/p>\n There are times, in a production environment, that we may be unable to meet our scheduled ship date.<\/p>\n We do not accept responsibility for missed ship if we have designed the artwork on your behalf, or if you have provided your own artwork it will start from the next working day after the day you have placed your order and will end at the date of DISPATCH and is measured in working days.<\/p>\n If, subsequent to placing an order, a faster turnaround time is required, notification MUST<\/strong>\u00a0be sent to liability for missed ship dates due to non-payment.<\/p>\n 3.2.3<\/strong> Late Expedited Deliveries<\/p>\n Where it has been agreed that an expedited order has failed to meet the agreed service level, we may possibly refund the expedite fee, this will depend on the specific job circumstances.<\/p>\n 3.2.4<\/strong> Couriers<\/p>\n We use reputable courier companies to ship your jobs.<\/p>\n We will not be held liable for failure of a courier company to deliver in a timely manner and we will not compensate for lack of performance on the part of a transport company.<\/p>\n 3.2.5<\/strong> Failure to Deliver<\/p>\n When your job is dispatched, you will be emailed details of the courier company and the tracking number of your goods.<\/p>\n If the delivery attempt fails, the goods are returned to us.<\/p>\n You will be charged the cost of all re-delivery attempts.<\/p>\n 3.2.6<\/strong> Pallet deliveries only:<\/p>\n Pallet deliveries will provide the pallet to the destination.<\/p>\n The end recipient will need to have facilities to receive this type of delivery.<\/p>\n If a delivery is refused for any reason, the additional costs of redelivery will be charged to the client.<\/p>\n 3.3<\/strong> Verbal Agreements<\/strong><\/p>\n Any modification to a job instructed by a client to any member of our staff, or agreed by any member of our staff, whether in regard to the content of a job, or the performance of a job, will be on a best efforts basis and will not change the terms of the agreement reached when the job is placed.<\/p>\n A modification that
